How to Connect Your Hotel to Agoda: Setup Guide for Indian Hotels (2026)

Agoda is one of the OTAs Indian hotels list on alongside Booking.com, Expedia and the domestic platforms. This guide covers how to list your hotel on Agoda, the two ways to manage the listing once it is live (by hand in Agoda's Partner Portal, or through a channel manager), and how to connect Agoda to EloPMS so rates, availability and bookings sync with the rest of your distribution.
Agoda's own steps below are taken from Agoda's Partner Hub help pages, which are linked in each section. Agoda changes its menus from time to time, so check the live Partner Portal before you rely on an exact menu path.
What is the Agoda extranet (YCS)?
Agoda's extranet is the Partner Portal, the dashboard many hoteliers still call YCS. It is where you manage your Agoda listing: rooms, rate plans, prices, availability, bookings and property settings.
The parts you will use most:
- Rates and availability > Calendar: change rooms available and rates by date
- Property > Room setup: your room types and their Agoda room type IDs
- Rates and availability > Rate plans: your rate plans and their Agoda rate plan IDs
- Property > Property settings: where a channel manager connection is switched on
Two ways to manage your Agoda listing
1. By hand in the Partner Portal
- Log in and update rates and availability in the Calendar
- No other software needed
- Works when Agoda is your only OTA, or one of very few
- Every change on another OTA has to be repeated on Agoda by hand, which is where overbookings come from
2. Through a channel manager or PMS
- Two-way sync between your PMS or hotel channel manager and Agoda
- Rates and availability go out and bookings come in without daily logins
- Agoda's help pages say that once you are connected, you update price and availability in the channel manager's system, not in the Partner Portal (Agoda Partner Hub)
Which one do you need? If Agoda is your only channel and you have a handful of rooms, the Partner Portal on its own can work. Once the same rooms are for sale on several OTAs, every manual update is a chance to sell a room twice. Agoda's own help pages suggest partners consider a channel manager to manage inventory.
Before you start: what to have ready
Agoda's sign-up asks for the details it needs to create your listing (Agoda Partner Hub). Having these ready makes it quicker:
- Property details: the property name as it appears on your signage and registration, full address with PIN code, property type and total rooms
- Business and tax registration: your business registration, and your GST registration if you have one
- Bank details for payouts, in the business's name
- Photos: exterior, lobby, every room type, bathrooms, restaurant and other facilities
- Contact details: property phone, email and the person who will manage the listing
- Room inventory: room type names, bed configuration, maximum occupancy, number of rooms per type, and in-room amenities
- Rate sheet: your standard rates for each room type
- Policies: check-in and check-out times, cancellation, children and extra beds, and pets
Step by step: listing your hotel on Agoda
Step 1: Start the sign-up
Go to Agoda's sign-up page at agoda.com/list-my-property, sign in or create an account, and click List your property.
Step 2: Start from scratch or import
Agoda lets you build the listing from scratch, or import it if you are already listed on Airbnb or Booking.com. If you rent out a single room, Agoda suggests registering it as a single-unit home.
Step 3: Enter your details
Follow the on-screen steps and enter the property, room and policy details you prepared. Agoda says you can edit them later, even after the listing is live.
Step 4: Verification
After you register, Agoda runs a verification check that it says typically takes up to 72 hours. The listing is not live during this time (Agoda Partner Hub).
Step 5: Set up rooms and rate plans
In the Partner Portal, check your room types under Property > Room setup and your rate plans under Rates and availability > Rate plans. Each one has an Agoda ID in the first column, and both lists can be exported to a spreadsheet. You will need these IDs if you connect a channel manager.
Step 6: Check your commission and terms
Your commission and payout terms are set in your agreement with Agoda. Agoda's General Terms and Conditions are in the Partner Portal under Resources > Terms & Conditions. Read the terms that apply to your property there, rather than relying on figures quoted elsewhere.
Step 7: Choose how you will manage rates and availability
Either update them by hand in the Calendar, or connect a channel manager. Both are covered below.
Updating rates and availability by hand
For a hotel, Agoda's steps are (Agoda Partner Hub):
- Sign in to the Partner Portal and pick the property under Listings if you manage more than one
- Go to Rates and availability > Calendar
- Select the rooms and rate plans you want to change
- Pick one date, or several dates with the date picker at the top right
- Set the number of rooms available per day for each room type
- Enter the rate for each rate plan
- Review and click Save
Minimum and maximum stay rules are set per date from the rate plan's menu in the Calendar side panel, under Stay restrictions.
Connecting Agoda to a channel manager
On Agoda's side
For a hotel, Agoda's steps are (Agoda Partner Hub):
- Sign in to the Partner Portal and pick the property
- Go to Property > Property settings and open Optional Settings
- Turn on channel manager mode and choose your provider from the list
- Save
Agoda says your channel manager will then need your Agoda property ID, room type IDs and rate plan IDs to finish the connection. The property ID is shown next to your property name in the Partner Portal. Confirm with Agoda and with your channel manager provider how the connection is enabled for your account before you switch channel manager mode on.
On the EloPMS side
EloPMS connects to Agoda through Agoda YCS connectivity, using your own Agoda account. Going live depends on completing Agoda's own connectivity onboarding for that account; EloPMS provides the connection and the screens to manage it.
- Add the channel. In EloPMS's Channel Manager, add Agoda, give it a display name, enter the commission percentage from your Agoda agreement, and set it active.
- Enter your credentials. EloPMS shows the fields Agoda needs: YCS API Key, YCS API Secret and Agoda Hotel ID. Stored secrets are shown masked.
- Test first. Switch on the sandbox setting to validate the connection against Agoda's test environment, then use Test Connection, which reports a clear success or failure.
- Map rooms and rates. Map each EloPMS room type to its Agoda room type ID, and each rate plan to its Agoda rate plan ID. A rate you leave unmapped falls back to your Best Available Rate (BAR) plan.
- Push rates and availability. Send current rates and availability to Agoda for the date range you choose.
- Pull reservations. Agoda bookings come into EloPMS as confirmed reservations that immediately take the room out of sale. Bookings already imported are skipped, and each pull shows how many were new, duplicate or failed. The guest is matched to an existing guest profile or a new one is created, and the Agoda commission is recorded on the reservation.
Once you are connected, make rate and availability changes in EloPMS, not in the Partner Portal. Agoda's help pages say channel manager users should update availability through their connectivity platform, and that the Partner Portal's Availability Center is for viewing those updates.
If your Agoda listing type offers calendar import and export, EloPMS's iCal feed can also block booked dates in both directions. iCal syncs availability only, not rates or full booking details.
Selling on more OTAs from India
Most Indian hotels list on more than one OTA. EloPMS connects directly to four: Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda and Airbnb. MakeMyTrip, Goibibo and other OTAs are not direct connections. They can be synced by iCal where that OTA supports iCal import and export, which blocks booked dates but does not send rates.

Troubleshooting the Agoda connection in EloPMS
Test Connection fails
- Check the YCS API Key, YCS API Secret and Agoda Hotel ID against what Agoda gave you. If a field is missing, EloPMS asks you to complete it instead of failing silently.
- Check whether the sandbox setting matches the environment your credentials belong to.
- Rotate a single credential if one has changed. EloPMS updates that key without wiping the others.
Agoda bookings are not appearing in EloPMS
- Check that every Agoda room type is mapped to an EloPMS room type.
- Run a reservation pull and read the summary of new, duplicate and failed bookings.
- Open the channel's sync log and filter by failed events; each failure shows its error message.
Rates or availability are not updating on Agoda
- Check the rate plan mapping. An unmapped rate plan falls back to your BAR plan, which may not be the rate you expected.
- Push again for the dates in question and check the number of rows pushed.
- Agoda says that if updates don't appear in the Partner Portal, your channel manager should show an error (Agoda Partner Hub). In EloPMS, that is the sync log, with "last pulled" and "last pushed" times on each channel card.
Why managing Agoda by hand doesn't scale
The multi-OTA reality
A typical Indian hotel sells on Agoda, Booking.com and Expedia, plus domestic and regional platforms. Each has its own extranet to log in to, check and update.
The arithmetic: a 15-room property on six OTAs has 90 room-and-channel combinations to keep correct every time a rate or availability changes. Doing that by hand takes front-desk time every day, and it only has to go wrong once.
How overbookings happen
- 9:00 am: a guest books Room 5 on Agoda
- 9:20 am: another guest books Room 5 on Booking.com, before anyone has closed it there
- 9:30 am: you log in and close Room 5 on the other extranets
- Result: two guests arrive expecting the same room
Sorting it out means finding the second guest another room, often at your expense, compensating them, and risking a bad review.
The EloPMS approach
EloPMS connects directly to Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb. You change a rate once in EloPMS and it goes out to every connected channel, and bookings from all of them land in the same reservation ledger, guest profile and folio. Other iCal-capable platforms are synced for availability.
